My Approach

Life is hard... I know that you may have experienced a lot before getting to the point of seeking help. I understand the courage it takes to make this step and open your private life to another.

Life can be filled with pain, shame, heartache, confusion, trauma, etc. I feel strongly about providing nonjudgmental compassion, understanding and guidance to those who are struggling.

I believe a therapist is someone who takes a journey with you. Your journey may be one of healing, finding your way, reducing symptoms or reaching a goal. Therapy will be a safe place to explore your thoughts, feelings, experiences past and present, to gain self-understanding and healthy thinking.

Therapy will foster the development of healthy functioning in your individual life or in relationships with others. Your pace and sense of control of your own treatment will be respected. I treat many areas of need such as Anxiety, Depression, trauma, relational issues, autism, mood issues and coping with the stressors of life.

I specialize in trauma, including trauma for children ages 0 to 18. I treat adults, children and families. Let's take this journey together and find some peace of mind.    Sandra
